In the meeting, Mamta has summoned the Chief Secretary of State, DGP, Home Secretary and Kolkata Police Commissioner. In the meeting, Mamta will discuss the violence that happened after the results of the Bengal Legislative Assembly elections.

The case reached the Supreme Court
After the election results in West Bengal, the matter of widespread violence has reached the Supreme Court. Public interest litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Supreme Court regarding the violence that took place in many places. In this petition, the court has demanded a CBI investigation into the violent incidents. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia has said in his petition that women have been raped during the violence in Bengal. BJP workers were attacked and surrounded and killed. Therefore, the court should intervene in the case and order an impartial inquiry.

Accused of killing many BJP workers
There have been many more serious allegations against TMC workers and supporters. Violence took place in many places including Odishapara, Cooch Behar, Samaspur, Purba Bardhaman, while the BJP office in Arambagh was set on fire. The Nandigram BJP office was also vandalized on Tuesday. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said that this is the planned violence of TMC goons. Bengal in-charge Kailash Vijayvargiya has claimed that 6 BJP workers have been murdered. After the violence, the Union Home Ministry has also sought a report.
